our candles
We use the best products we can find to make the best candles we can create. Hand-selected bottles, clean soy wax, and memorable wooden wicks. Every ingredient was chosen to make these the most unique candles you will find.
the bottles
Some of our bottles we hand-select. And some are gifts from friends and family who also get to be a part of this with us. The bottle-cutting process starts by making a precise incision around the circumference of a bottle. Then, we must heat the bottle carefully along that line, weakening the glass. Lastly, we give a quick dip in ice water and, if everything goes perfectly, it snaps right along the line!
However, no two bottles are exactly the same, even for the same drink. Differences in glass thickness and shape make every cut different, and every bottle for our candles unique. People enjoy picking out bottles because they like that drink, it fits the personality of someone they're giving it to, or they simply like how it looks.
the wax
We use pure soy wax, a vegetable wax derived from soybean oil, in our candles. After harvesting soy beans, the beans are cleaned, cracked, de-hulled, and rolled into flakes. The oil is then extracted from the flakes and hydrogenated, resulting in this cleaner alternative to traditional waxes.
